Inside runs a new bearing system developed in-house by PolarWave, with PEEK roller bearings and zirconia ceramic side elements. The ceramic side elements cut friction when the block is loaded from the side, so the sheave keeps turning freely when the line doesn't come in square.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt 51 g it carries a 1.1 tonne working load, and the stainless steel rivet core, also developed by PolarWave, takes it to a 3 tonne breaking load.
