Description
The Vakaros Atlas 2 is the full race instrument: every function Vakaros builds, with nothing held back. If you sail a class that allows distance to line and you want the most accurate numbers on the water, this is the one to reach for.
At its core is a dual band L1 + L5 GNSS receiver running at 25 Hz, with positional accuracy down to 25 cm and real time differential GNSS positioning when you race in a RaceSense network. The magnetic compass resolves heading changes as small as 0.1°, with motion fusion and adjustable damping that keep it steady when the water gets rough. Numbers you can trust, start to finish.
The starting screens are where the Atlas 2 earns its place. Distance and time to line, time to burn, and a countdown give you the situational awareness to hit the line on time and at full speed. After the gun, speed over ground, heel, pitch and VMG help you keep the boat in the groove, and every session logs at up to 10 Hz for review back ashore.
The Atlas 2 is the only instrument in the range with full sensor support: it connects over Bluetooth to Calypso wind sensors, Cyclops load sensors and Airmar transducers, so you can build a complete wireless data system on a small boat without a NMEA processor. The battery runs 100+ hours and charges wirelessly on any Qi pad (charger not included). Supplied with a mount and carrying case, and backed by a two year warranty.
