The PolarWave 40 mm ratchet block gives you controlled hand-holding on loaded lines, so you can hold a mainsheet or control line under load and ease it smoothly when you want to. The 40 mm size hits the sweet spot for modern rigs running thinner, stronger ropes, so you get the holding power without an oversized block.
It runs on dual-row ceramic ball bearings for smooth rotation under load, with a composite body and precision-machined components for a high strength-to-weight ratio. The colour side plates let you set the block up for team or personal identification.
It is aimed at high-performance dinghies and skiffs, including the 29er, 49er, Nacra classes, ILCA, WASZP, Optimist, 420 and 470. Use it on mainsheet systems and heavily worked control lines where ratchet holding takes the load off your hand.
