Description
The V.elo ILCA outhaul line is cut from DyTech 4 mm, a control line with over a tonne of breaking load: 1038 kgf from a 4 mm line. It comes in green, 5.3 m long, the length for the secondary line of the ILCA outhaul.
A coated Dyneema® SK78 core carries the load with minimal stretch, so your setting holds when the load comes on. The 16-plait cover is half Technora®, for grip and heat resistance in the cleat, and half polyester, for colour and a comfortable feel in the hand. It does not flatten in cam cleats, so it keeps holding and releasing cleanly.
The line comes unspliced and without blocks or fittings. Need a different length? DyTech 4 mm is also sold per meter.

V.elo builds its ropes in southern Brazil, in the first factory in Latin America dedicated entirely to nautical rope, and is the only rope maker on the continent licensed by Avient to work with Dyneema®. V.elo lines were on board Brazil's ILCA and Nacra 17 boats at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
