A pack of three green and three red self-adhesive wool telltales with TEFLON® coating, designed to prevent sticking to the sail in wet conditions.
Accurate telltale placement is essential for maximum upwind performance in ILCA and Laser sailing. Positioned correctly, telltales provide immediate feedback on airflow and sail trim, helping you maintain optimal speed and avoid pinching.
The TEFLON® treatment ensures smooth airflow behaviour even in damp conditions, reducing the risk of wool fibres sticking to the sail surface.
Recommended placement – ILCA / Laser
Correct positioning is key to reliable feedback:

Standard ILCA / Laser sails:
Place 40 cm above the front of the sail window and 20 cm forward of that point. -
ILCA 6 / Radial sails:
Place 20 cm above and 20 cm forward of the front of the sail window.
Incorrect positioning may reduce sensitivity or provide misleading airflow information.
Application instructions
For best adhesion:
- Sail must be completely dry
- Clean the area thoroughly to remove dirt, grease, wax or old adhesive
- Warm the sail surface lightly before applying
- Apply firm pressure when fixing the telltale
- Rub down thoroughly to ensure strong adhesion
