Description
Description
The mast head version of Allen's Aerovane: a small, counterweighted wind indicator that sits at the top of the mast, where it sees clean wind above the sail. The built-in counterweight keeps it on the true apparent wind angle instead of drooping, and stops the side to side flapping lighter vanes suffer in a breeze.
It is sized to read easily from the boat without adding drag aloft. The vane pushes onto the 270 mm rod until it clicks.
It mounts to the mast head with Allen's A4066 burgee clip, which is not included. If your boat has no mast head fitting, the lower mast mounted Aerovane fits lower down the spar instead.
