The Black Spar Set – Ultimate Racing Optimist Spars – Optimast is the stiffest and most powerful spar configuration ever produced by Optimast. It is specifically designed for heavier Optimist sailors (40 kg and above) with advanced boat-handling skills who demand maximum control and speed in strong-wind conditions.
Manufactured from Optimast’s specially modified G.R.T. Alloy, the Black Spar Set delivers exceptional stiffness, durability, and precision. The reduced flex profile provides direct feedback and maximum energy transfer, allowing skilled sailors to fully exploit high-wind performance while maintaining control at top speed.
This set is best suited for experienced racers competing at national and international level, particularly in venues where breeze and wave pressure demand a firm, highly responsive rig.
To ensure the set is race-ready out of the box, it is supplied complete with the A-250 Starter Package, providing essential fittings for efficient and reliable rigging.
