The Black Ultimate Racing Mast 2.2 mm – Optimast represents the stiffest Optimist racing mast ever produced by Optimast. This NEW VERSION 2026 is designed specifically for heavier sailors (40 kg and above) with advanced boat-handling skills who demand maximum performance and control in strong-wind conditions.
Manufactured from high-strength AW 7095 aluminium with a 2.2 mm wall thickness, this mast delivers exceptional stiffness and direct feedback. The reduced flex profile allows skilled sailors to convert power efficiently into speed, making it ideal for high-pressure racing at national and international level.
The mast is supplied complete with the A-250 Starter Package, including the new hook block fitting, ensuring reliable rigging, improved durability, and a clean, race-ready setup straight out of the box.
