Description

The LiveWatersports quick release outhaul primary line lets you break the outhaul down in seconds. A large spliced loop hooks over the end of the boom, so releasing the whole primary system means lifting the loop off. Nothing to unthread, no knots to pick apart.

Each line is spliced from 3 mm Dyneema SK79. The fibre carries a very high load for its diameter and creeps very little, so the tension you set at the clew stays where you put it through a long beat. The loop is sized to sit firmly over the boom end without working forward under load.

Pick your rig and the line arrives cut and spliced to suit. The clew sits in a different place on the boom for ILCA 4, ILCA 6 and ILCA 7, so each version is made to the right length for that sail.

Outhaul systems are governed by the ILCA class rules. Check the current rules before using it at a championship.
