Description
HullKote is a speed polish for the parts of the boat that move through the water. You buff it onto the hull and foils and it leaves a hard, slick surface that cuts drag and sheds dirt, so the boat runs cleaner and feels faster off the line.
HullKote builds a thin, water-repellent film that smooths the microscopic texture of gelcoat and painted finishes. Water releases from it more easily, which means less surface friction and less grime clinging to the hull between races.
Use it on the hull, rudder blade and centreboard or daggerboard. It suits gelcoat and most painted racing finishes. A light coat before an event, buffed to a shine, is enough, and you reapply as the finish wears. Check your current class rules before an event if you are unsure whether hull treatments are allowed.
