Description

SailKote is a dry-film lubricant for anywhere on the boat where two surfaces need to move against each other without drag. You spray it on wet and it dries to a slick, low-friction coating that keeps running rigging, tracks and moving parts working freely.

Unlike oil or grease, SailKote dries clean and doesn't stay tacky, so it won't hold onto the grit, salt and sand that turn a wet lubricant into grinding paste. That makes it a sensible choice on a dinghy that lives on a beach or a slipway.

Use it on sail slides and luff tracks, spinnaker and genoa tracks, block sheaves, traveller cars, centreboard and daggerboard cases, hook-and-loop fastenings, zips and shackles. On an ILCA it earns its place on the mainsheet blocks, the traveller and the daggerboard case; on an Optimist or skiff it keeps the control systems running smooth. It is widely used across dinghy and keelboat classes, but check your current class rules before a championship if you are unsure.
