The Red Ultimate Racing Mast 2.1 mm – Optimast is the latest evolution of Optimast’s proven Red racing mast, updated for the 2026 season. Developed through extensive on-the-water testing with competitive Optimist sailors, this mast delivers a refined balance between performance, control, and forgiveness.
Manufactured from high-grade AW 7075 aluminium with a 2.1 mm wall thickness, the mast offers increased resilience compared to earlier versions. This results in a dynamic yet forgiving bend profile that helps absorb passive boat-handling errors while allowing the sail to open effectively in stronger gusts. The mast performs consistently in typical European racing conditions, from inland lakes to open sea venues.
This NEW VERSION 2026 is supplied complete with the A-250 Starter Package, including the new hook block fitting, ensuring efficient rigging, improved durability, and a clean, race-ready setup straight out of the box.
