Seaboot 700 – Zhik

The Zhik Seaboot 700 is a full-height sailing boot built for cold, wet days where you still need to move quickly around the boat. At 500 g per boot it weighs closer to a trainer than a traditional seaboot, so you keep your footing and your agility when the deck is moving.

Waterproofing comes from an eVent® membrane, which blocks water from the outside while letting sweat vapour out. The outsole is a multi-compound rubber developed with Michelin, with a tread that holds on wet gelcoat and on non-slip. The cushioned midsole sits between you and a cold deck, and that matters more than most people expect on a long winter day.

The one-hand quick-lace system pulls the boot tight in a single movement, and the laces tuck into a hidden pocket so there is nothing to snag on. Above that sits a high-stretch zippered gaiter with an elastic hem that stops water flushing in, closed with an anti-corrosion zip. Multiple pull-on and hang loops make them easy to get into and easy to dry.

This is a coastal and offshore boot rather than a dinghy boot. It suits keelboat racing, deliveries, winter series and coaching from a RIB, anywhere you are on your feet in cold water for hours. Sizes follow Zhik's own footwear chart, so check the size guide before ordering.
