This product is available with extended delivery. Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days. After that, the item is ordered in or prepared for dispatch, which means delivery may take a little longer than usual. Delivery within the Benelux typically takes 2 to 4 business days once shipped.

Description
Description
The PolarWave VORTEX Line 60 mm is a single-piece side-cheek block for the heavily loaded systems on performance keelboats and bigger boats: mainsheet, mast base, vang and other primary controls. The whole design is about working load per gram, and at 181 g with a 2 tonne working load it carries a lot for its size.
Body and sheave are both machined from marine-grade anodised aluminium, so the block stays stiff under load and holds up in salt water. Inside runs a new bearing system developed in-house by PolarWave, with PEEK roller bearings and zirconia ceramic side elements. The ceramic side elements cut friction when the block is loaded from the side, so the sheave keeps turning freely when the line doesn't come in square.
A stainless steel rivet, also developed by PolarWave, forms the core and takes the block to a 5 tonne breaking load. Put it where the loads are highest and you want the line to keep running smoothly when you trim under full pressure.
