The Open Dutch Championships for ILCA 4, ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 come to WSV Hoorn from 18 to 20 September 2026. LiveWatersports is a sponsor of the event, and we will be in the boat park all three days with gear on the racks and a repair table set up. If something breaks on Friday, it should not still be broken on Saturday morning.
Why we show up
Sponsoring a regatta and standing in the boat park early in the morning are two different things. We do both, because the second one is what the fleet actually needs.
A national championship is three days of maximum load on your boat. Control lines that were fine all summer let go in the first strong breeze. A tiller extension universal splits. Someone drops a bailer plug in the water on the way out. None of that is dramatic, but every one of those things costs you a race if the nearest replacement is a two-day parcel away.
So we bring the shelf to Hoorn. That is how we look at event presence: supporting the ILCA fleet where the racing happens.
What we bring to the boat park
- Control lines for cunningham, vang and outhaul, cut to length on the spot
- Mainsheets in the usual diameters and lengths
- Blocks and soft shackles
- Hiking straps and hiking strap fittings
- Carbon tillers, tiller extensions and universal joints
- Rudder retaining clips and gudgeons
- Telltales, clew straps, wind indicators, mast disks and the small parts you only miss on the water
We will also have new season gear with us, including Rooster vests, Zhik boots and instruments from Sailteck and Vakaros, which we distribute in the Benelux. Come and handle it before you buy it. That is worth more than any product page, ours included.
What we do not bring are the ILCA restricted parts: lower vang unit, spars, boom, traveller blocks, bailers, cleat plate, grab rail, block plate, fairleads, daggerboard friction pads, foils, vang tang and mast plugs. If you think you might need one of those, message us before the event and we will tell you what is possible.
Repairs and quick fixes
Bring the boat to us and we will look at it. We have plenty of rivets and the drill is coming with us.
Rerunning a control line system, replacing a worn hiking strap, swapping a failed block, fixing a broken joint on your tiller extension: these are jobs of a few minutes if you have the parts and the right hands, and they are jobs of a lost weekend if you do not.

How do I enter?
Entries run through manage2sail on the WSV Hoorn event page. Check the notice of race there for entry fees and closing dates.
Can I order gear and collect it at the event?
Yes. Order by Wednesday 16 September and choose Pick up at the ONK Point of Sail at checkout. We will bring it to the boat park for you.
Do you do repairs on site?
Yes. Small rigging jobs, line replacement and hardware swaps run all weekend on a first come, first served basis around the racing schedule.
Do you sell ILCA restricted parts at the event?
No, we do not bring restricted parts such as spars, boom, bailers, foils or the lower vang unit to the boat park. Message us before the event and we will tell you what is possible.
Who gets a goody bag?
Every sailor on the entry list, in ILCA 4, ILCA 6 and ILCA 7.
Do you carry parts for other classes at the event?
Our focus in Hoorn is ILCA, but we can bring Optimist, Finn and other dinghy parts if you order them in advance for collection.
