The Optimast Red Flex Ultimate Racing Mast is a highly dynamic Optimist mast developed to bridge the gap between the Blue and Red spar ranges. Designed for demanding conditions, this mast delivers increased flex and responsiveness, making it especially effective on open waters with more waves.

Built from AW 7025 aluminium with a 1.8 mm wall thickness, the Red Flex mast offers a unique combination of controlled deflection and reduced weight. This allows the rig to react more actively to wave patterns, helping sailors maintain speed and sail shape in challenging conditions. Coaches and top sailors frequently select this mast when paired with lighter, higher-deflection sprits to create a balanced and versatile racing setup.

With a mast weight of 1620 grams, the Red Flex mast fills a very specific performance niche. There is currently no equivalent spar produced elsewhere, making this a truly distinctive option within the Optimast range.
